Welcome to the World of Rebound Books

In our shop you are invited to browse hundreds of titles and order a custom made recycled notebook, sketchbook, diary or journal. We have divided our books into categories to help you find your special book.

The unique thing about our books is that pages of the original publication are interspersed with the blank pages so each one is very individual. Once you have found the book that feels right for you, you can choose how much of the original you’d like there to be and select options such as lined paper, bookmark or elastic fastening.

All the books featured in our shop were destined for landfill, donated from customers or feeling miserable in a charity shop!

Each book is made by hand using high quality reclaimed paper and wire bindings, to a very high standard by the members of L’Arche Brecon. Based in Wales, we are part of the international federation of L’Arche Communities where adults with and without learning disabilities live and share life together. We aim to celebrate the unique value of each person and recognise our need of one another. We also want to enable everyone to take a full part in society and valued employment is a key part of this. Through Rebound Books, Paul, Robin Steve and Gareth and the assistants who support them are happy to be transforming unwanted books into treasured items, everyone of which is unique!
